After a long drive from Kanpur to Lucknow, during which he encountered no eateries, Rocky eagerly heads to Raheem’s Kulcha Nahari Shop at Akbari Gate.
A culinary legend since 1890, Raheem’s is celebrated for its Kulcha-Nahari, a traditional breakfast dish revered in the city.
The Mutton Nahari, slow-cooked overnight, is exceptionally tender, practically melting in the mouth.
Rocky pairs it with freshly baked Kulcha and sweet Sheermal, enhancing the flavours of the succulent mutton.
He also samples their Chicken Qorma, another delightful offering.
As he savours the meal, Rocky shares the story behind these dishes’ origins, providing a rich historical context that adds depth to the dining experience.
This meal at Raheem’s not only satisfies his hunger but also connects him with a piece of Lucknow’s rich culinary heritage.
